About Blue Truck Ranch Owners:
When Betty and E.T. Kelley sold their German-American Restaurant at Buchanan Dam in 1978 they purchased this six acres in the Texas Hill Country that had somehow been preserved in the middle of Inks Lake State Park.
After construction in 2021, three cottages (sleeping capacity 14), a kitchen/dining/living/gathering building, two RV hookups, patio fire pit and game room, now make up the Blue Truck Ranch facilities.
Today, the Kelley family including their son, daughter in law, grandchildren and great grandchildren, romp the acreage, climb the trees and cook s’mores in the fire pit. E.T.’s old truck sits in the front field as a lawn ornament – and namesake for the ranch.
